MDR – 25 Years of Grace

11 February 2001 – 2026

25th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Missionaries of Divine Revelation

Everything Is Grace

On 11 February 2026, with profound joy and heartfelt gratitude, we celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of our foundation in an atmosphere of prayerful recollection. We were lovingly accompanied by our Spiritual Guide, His Eminence Cardinal Mauro Piacenza.

His homily offered a remarkable and lucid synthesis of our history, giving voice to what we have long carried in our hearts. We wish to share several of its most significant passages:

“A quarter of a century ago, on this very day (11 February), the Missionaries of Divine Revelation began, formally and quietly, a journey like a humble stream of water—almost unnoticed at first—flowing slowly and winding among stones and earth. It overcomes the first small pebbles, at times passing beyond barriers, at other times encountering larger stumbling blocks, yet continuing with the constancy and perseverance of love until it becomes an underground river.”

Over the past twenty-five years, we have journeyed far—not by our own initiative, but by faithfully responding to what the Lord placed before us. Overcoming human fear, we entrusted ourselves entirely to Him and to the Most Holy Virgin Mary.

Thus, in January 2004, we accepted service at the Basilica of Saint John Lateran. In October of the same year, the initiative “Catechesis with Art” was born.  It led us to become official guides for visits of art and faith in Saint Peter’s Basilica in 2007 following the invitation of Cardinal Angelo Comastri, then Archpriest of the Papal Basilica.

In 2009, we were also entrusted with guiding visits of art and faith at the Vatican Museums, called by Cardinal Giovanni Lajolo, then President of the Governorate, and later confirmed by Cardinal Giuseppe Bertello, his successor.

In addition to this, we recall with gratitude the intense apostolic work carried out in parishes, the numerous popular missions in Italy and abroad, the devotion of the Pilgrim Madonna, our service at the Shrine of Our Lady of Revelation, and finally the important appointment received by Mother Rebecca in October 2024 as Director of the Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi.

We also give thanks for the great house of Providence located at Via delle Vigne Nuove, 459.

Above all, we render thanks for every sister who has entered the Community, a precious gift of the Most Holy Virgin Mary to us, the Missionaries.

These years have not been without trials. Some difficulties appeared insurmountable. Yet we have always faced them with faith and abandonment to Divine Providence, even while experiencing, on a human level, the weight of certain circumstances. In all things, we give glory to God.

Cardinal Piacenza, who knows well both the joyful and painful moments of our history, encouraged us with these words:

“Have complete confidence and absolute trust that you will never, ever be abandoned by Her who is your Mother… A serene trust must always inspire and sustain you: trust in the motherhood of Mary, which grants serenity and peace both individually and as a Community… a peaceful abandonment, the certainty of a help that will never fail.

When things seem to go awry in a certain period, that is precisely the moment to abandon yourselves like little children in the arms of the Holy Mother. Trust and abandonment must always sustain you. The remedy and the help will not only always be present, but will be effective and fruitful.

Consider that God, merciful and provident, has given you infinitely more than you could ever have hoped for: He has given you a Mother. He has given you His Mother.

Everything is grace, and everything must be viewed in the light of eternity. Nothing happens by chance, even what may appear to be misfortune. Look back upon these twenty-five years and you will see that nothing has occurred by chance.”

Indeed, nothing happens by chance. Even what humanly causes suffering cooperates for good and, within the Lord’s plan, contributes to growth and maturity in faith, hope, and above all, charity.

Therefore, we wish to unite ourselves to Mary’s Magnificat, praising the Lord for all the marvels He has accomplished throughout these twenty-five years. We also express our gratitude to all those whom the Lord and the Virgin Mary have placed along our path—each and every one without exception—for all have contributed, in their own way, to the building of this work.

Though still under construction, its foundations remain firm, laid in the path traced by our Foundress, Mother Prisca: sound doctrine, fidelity to the perennial Tradition of the Church, and constant reference to the essential pillars of the fides catholica: the Eucharist, the Immaculate Virgin Mary, and the Holy Father, Vicar of Christ, in full obedience to ecclesiastical authority.

Virgin of Revelation, pray for us.
