vocation

vocation

It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you

 (John 15:16)

Vocation is a mystery of love that is born in the very heart of God. It is a personal and unique invitation that the Lord extends to each of us, calling us to take part in His plan of Salvation. Responding to this call means joyfully and generously embracing the project that God has had in mind for us from all eternity.

mary’s “yes”

Mary is the perfect model for every vocation. She teaches us how to receive God’s call with trust and openness. At Mary’s, “Yes”, eternity broke into time and God became man in Jesus. We too are called to say “yes” in our own lives, not only in major decisions but every day. It is from that daily “yes” that the great “yes” of our life is born.  It is a “yes” that opens us to God’s will. It shapes us and gives us a new life full of hope and joy, capable even of facing life’s challenges. We lose nothing and gain everything.

Listening

God speaks in silence. Those who seek His voice must first learn to listen, to remain in prayer, to read the signs, and to be guided. Like Mary, who

kept all these things, pondering them in her heart

(Luke 2:19)

Discernment is not just about working out what to do with your life.  It is primarily about recognizing Who is calling. It means allowing ourselves to be led, even when we don’t know the precise destination. It is a journey of trust.

Living as consecrated women

To be a Missionary of Divine Revelation one must respond to the Virgin’s invitation: “Be missionaries of the Word of Truth.”

It means giving oneself completely. The vocation to the Consecrated Life is a call to live totally for the Lord, so that God may be all in all. Vocation involves the whole person - body, soul, and mind. It means proclaiming the Truth not only with words, but also with one's gaze, presence, and beauty.

self-giving

Those who consecrate themselves to God do not renounce their lives, rather, they entrust their lives to the Lord. They do not close themselves off, they open up. They do not lose, they give.
A life that is given is a life that is full. It is a life that is entirely offered to God and completely donated to the service of others. It is a response of love that becomes fruitful, concrete, and radiant.  We always remind everyone that we have renounced everything, but not love.
